2Cs design online interface for Enecsys

2Cs were asked by the Cambridge based solar energy company, Enecsys to design the online interface for their remote monitoring service. The brief had two targets: Consumers, who wish to monitor their solar panels performance, and Installers, who wish to manage their customers and installation sites. Separate online tools were provided for both. The tools had to be engaging, intuitive, instantly accessible and with all relevant information available to the user in a single interface.

Working closely with the team at Enecsys, we designed and developed a Flash and .NET based solution that integrates seamlessly with Enecsys’ Zigbee wireless monitoring system; allowing customers to monitor the performance of their solar panels remotely, and Installers to manage customers, installations and faults online. The web and XML architecture we have provided enables all components to interact reliably with the database and each other - ensuring that all information provided is accurate and up-to-the-minute.

Ongoing, we are working as part of the Enecsys team to specify, define and deliver further components to build upon the developed interface.
